About Me

I am an tinkerer with experience in interaction design, educational technology, design research and visual arts.

I believe that design thinking offers the most comprehensive approach in solving multifaceted “wicked problems” that surround us; and if we can delivery great user experience that will be half the battle won.

I am currently teaching Design Management, Design Research and Interaction Design in Monash University, Australia. I coordinate and develop content for most of the units I taught in, while supervising coursework projects of postgraduate students.

In my previous career with the Ministry of Education in Singapore, I helped organised nationwide ICT in education events and oversaw the development of ICT-based educational resources for teachers and students, including web portals, repositories and interactive games. I had also led a secondary school’s Art Department and its Art Elective Programme (an art curriculum catered for select group of artistically inclined students), supervising and assessing students’ projects in national exams; and initiated co-curricular activities to improved performance and confidence of ‘at-risk’ students.

I have exhibited internationally as a visual artist and worked as events photographer, illustrator and branding consultant to companies in Australia, China and Singapore.
